Get Involved with #BoroManCan

You like what this Public Health campaign is trying to do and want to get involved; spot on. See below.

BoroManCan has a number of key initiatives that we hope to continue to see being offered. They have been led by a range of services, inspired by the men’s health plan and the campaign. Here’s a list of ways you can get involved and support the campaign depending on who you are and what you do.

So…maybe the information below might answer that?

If not, enquire through our contact us form for more information.

I’m an organisation/workplace/service:

Great news. Become a Campaign Partner for us.

Firstly, take a look at our BoroManCan ‘Partner Charter’ that will guide you to take action to promote, campaign for and consider ‘gender health’ in your work. Commit to one of more of the men’s health plan priorities, run at least one annual men’s health campaign and train staff as men’s health champions (enough staff to get the messages out in your organisation)? You can submit a request for more information here.

I’m a boro man and I want to tell my health story to inspire others: #thismancan

Good to hear. Take a minute to think about these things before your submit your story through our form, happy to share your name, photo, details of your personal journey for public sharing? If yes, and you feel you are in the right place in your life to do this, then thanks very much, we would like to consider you. Please complete the online form at this link and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.

I’ve got an idea to improve men’s health through a project, piece of research or work for a charity. Can you help me develop that?

Richie Andrew from Public Health South Tees oversees the Men’s Health Plan. He may be able to support you and connect you to lots of people locally to help and make sure you don’t replicate some good work already going on.

I’m from the media and would like to know more? Who do I contact?

Please contact Laura Condon in the Communications Team at Middlesbrough Council. You can e-mail her at Laura Condon This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
